Visitors

This weekend David, Jackie, and my parents were in town. We packed a lot in 3 days, but it was a ton of fun, and thankfully we had some great weather. Here is the Recap

When Dave and Jackie got in from Cali around one, We grabbed a quick lunch We did a quick driving tour of Wrigleyville, lakeshore drive, etc and then went to Carnival for Drinks and Cevieche

Then to Shikago where we met up with a few of Dave’s friends. We had some fantastic food and wine and then one of the owners brought us up to their private room on the 40th floor which was an old law library turned into a very cool bar/lounge area.

Friday my parents came in from Michigan and we went downtown and did the architectural boat tour, which I had been on before but highly recommend! We did some shopping on Michigan avenue, Champagne at the Signature room in the John Hancock building, and went to Millenium park. By then we were pretty worn out from all the walking, so we bought some Chicago pizza and headed home.

Saturday looked like it was going to rain all day, but we were adventurous and headed to Wrigley Field for a cubs game, bought some great tickets and enjoyed watching the Cubs kill the Pirates 13-1! It only sprinkled for a little bit near the end, so it worked out well. After that we came back to our place and had some dinner and played a couple games.

Sunday Everyone headed home pretty early, Bill and I went out to Lunch with Bill’s family, and then played some beach volleyball with some friends since it was in the 70s without a cloud in the sky. I’m a bit tired from the whirlwind of activities, but it was a great time!
