GO BEARS!

Often from my office I can hear a man playing the saxophone on the street. He usually plays a medley that consists of the Simpson’s theme song, Winter Wonderland, something I’m sure he made up, and a couple of Christmas songs around Christmas time. Since the Bears won almost two weeks ago (NFC Championship shown below), he has been playing “Bear down, Chicago Bears” every day for anywhere from 15 min to 2 hours a day. Usually, 2 hours of any one song would bug me (especially since it gets stuck in my head) but lately I have been enjoying it as we head into the Superbowl weekend.

I have to admit, I have watched more pro football this season than ever before, and it has been really fun to watch a winning team from the city I live in. Being from Michigan, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Lions, but now the Bears have joined them. There are many critics who say they shouldn’t be in the superbowl, and rip on the players (check out the superbowl mumble)… but I happen to like them and will of course be rooting for them on Sunday.

The whole city of Chicago is behind you! Go Bears! Can’t wait to hear that victory “Bear Down, Chicago Bears” from the saxophone player come Monday morning.

Go Bears! Remember when they were in the Super Bowl way back when? Remeber the "Super-bowl Shuffle?" We were all of 10 and 4 respectfully! You probably don't even rember you young thing! Good to talk to you via PHONE today. Love you,
your big sis
