Happy New Year! I have to admit, of all of the celebrations/holidays, New Years Eve is probably one of my least favorites. I like the idea of celebrating the old year and the coming of the New Year, but I feel as though it is very overrated. Often people try to hype the night up and make a fancy party sound so exciting, except that it costs a lot of money to hang out with a lot of people you don’t know. My preference is to hang out with family and friends at someone’s house, because let’s face it, that is who you spent most of last year with, and will probably spend most of the coming year with. Which is how I like it, family will be around with me each year, so why not celebrate them, and not a big bash that everyone always says later “it wasn’t as great as I expected.”

So Happy New Year to my Family and Friends (and those I don’t know that hung out at fancy parties with other people I don’t know).
