In Holland, where I grew up, they have a great farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I used to go when I was little with my dad. Even in college I would ride my bike there and get some great fresh produce, flowers, beef jerky, honey, tamales, you name it. When I am back in Holland visiting I often still go with my dad. However around here we don't have very many Farmers Markets that are open on Saturday, most are open during a weekday. Since I have to work every weekday, this is a no go for me. I did end up finding one that was open on Saturdays but it is about a 1/2 hr drive away. We finally ventured over there a few weeks ago because I wanted to attempt to make this salad and wanted the freshest ingredients possible. I really liked it and hope to go back soon!
Some small Cacti Bill found... they also had herb plants that I really wanted to buy, but I don't have much of a place to keep them right now.
